Laura Worthington

Professionally trained as a graphic designer, Laura announced her arrival as a typeface designer in 2010 by publishing her first typeface. Since then, she has published more than 80 typefaces, and designed custom faces for Fortune 500 companies including Microsoft, Starbucks and J.M. Smucker. Laura’s faces are based on her own hand-lettering and calligraphy, a practice she continues to hone daily. Laura’s type designs have received awards from Communication Arts, Typographica and MyFonts featured her faces in their “best of the year” lists for six years in a row. Her work has been featured in Communication Arts, HOW, Letter Arts Review, Computer Arts, CreativePro, and many other publications. A specially designed typeset for the book title – The Magic of Mandu – by Laura enhances the visual splendor immensely.
